And so it began again in 2014
The Faberge Big Egg Hunt New York!

with a brand new fibreglass egg…

The process was the same as before…lots of templates and then onto the real thing!!!

And as before the lovely Amanda and Dave from Sk signs worked their magic creating the vinyls from my artwork...

…lots of late nights…and lots of tea and biscuits…again!

Then it was off to the lovely Mr Simon Emery and Crew at Paintbox for the final lacquer…

…and then carefully wrapped, popped in a crate and off on a slow boat to the Big Apple baby!!!

I went to New York for the final few days at the end of the egg hunt but Simon had gone out before to make sure our eggs arrive safely and placed on their plinths in their secret locations…

Just having a quick spruce up!

The eggs were all hidden in locations around New York until the final week of the Egg Hunt when the eggs were located all around the Rockafeller Centre for everyone to see!

An app was created by Saatchi & Saatchi New York and each egg had its own chip where the hunter could scan the egg and digitally collect them - the person who collect all the eggs could be entered into a draw to win a Faberge Egg Pendant!

The Alphaegg of New York was hidden in the window of The Scholastic Children's Bookstore...

Where they also sold my 'Eggsclusive' Alphaegg Tote bag!

In the last week of the egg hunt all of the eggs were located at the Rockerfeller Centre…The Alphaegg was placed next to Tracey Emin's Egg…

Saatchi & Saatchi also devised a campaign during the hunt for all of the eggs to aid the hunters...

I was also featured in Martha Stewart's blog as one of her top eggs!!!

I also created the design for 100 smaller ostrich eggs which were sold in the Big Egg Hunt shop!

The Alphaegg of London was also featured in Town & Country Magazine along with Simon's Egg.

It was such an amazing event and for two such worthy charities…after the online auction ended the Alphaegg raised...

for two very worthy charities...Elephant Family and Studio in a School
